Mersal Movie Review :

For the diehard fans of Vijay Mersal will definitely be a Diwali cracker.

This review is going to focus on the  General audience perspective.

To start with Atlee executed MGR formula film using Vijay in the lead. Atlee proved is was Assistant to ARM and Shankar by opening the movie in Ramana style and finishing in Anniyan style.

If you mix Ramana +Aboorva Sagotharagal + Neerum Neruppam (MGR ) = Mersal Story.

Story line is nothing new it is a usual revenge drama on the background of medical corruption.

Vijay +Vijay + Vijay

Vijay has given his best in terms of dance, stunt, body language and voice modulation. Especially it will be his best in terms of emotional episodes.

Debutant Cinematographer vishnu has given his best. Especially it is a visual treat.

ARR magic in terms of BGM is awesome especially in scenes were SJ Suryah appears. Only Aaloparan stands out.

Rich production values

Out of the three heroines Nithya menon gets the screen space to score.

Dialogues in Climax is thought provoking.

Good magic show episode

Extraordinary Art direction by முத்துராஜ்

Cuts by Ruben is Racy in first half and Draggy in second half.

Draggy and predictable screen play

Ordinary and expected climax

வடிவேலு and satyan failed to provoke laughter.

Satyaraj and கோவை சரளா are under utilized.

Heavy dose of தமிழன் concepts and dialogues.

Logic less opening fight sequence.

Atlee invested 130 crores on a MGR formula film.

SJ Suryah suits well in current episode rather than retro episode.
