GVM is back with his non linear narrative mode with Dhanush.

First half of the movie marks GVM signature style romance with adrenaline pumping kisses and few stunts. The chemistry between Dhanush and Megha is awesome. 

Theater erupts in Visiri and Maruvathai songs. Good music and BGM by siva.

Elite visuals with top notch angles by Manoj paramahamsa.

But the second half travels in auto pilot and beast mode with slow narration and predictable screenplay.

The savior in second half is cameo by sasikumar and Maruvathai song.

Two times bullets were fired against Dhanush one in first half and other in second half. The first bullet hits his belt and in the second half key kept in his right pocket saves him when the bullet is fired in left chest ( Not expected these types of mistakes by GVM)

GVM tries to blend VTV with Acham enbadhu madamayada and produce ENPT.

RATING : 2.75/5

FINAL VERDICT : GVM fires the bullet towards the audience in Slow motion mode.

Logesh Kanagaraj after the well acclaimed Managaram is 🔙 with yet another Overnight thriller without songs and heroine which is new to tamil cinema.

Karthi, Naren and Sam CS BGM are the three heroes in the movie.

Plus:

Cinematography in Night mode is commendable.

Sam CS BGM Makes audience glue to the seats.

Karthi performance and his emotional acting in climax

Naren equally shoulders the movie with Karthi.

Constable acting in Commissioner office and character artist has lorry owner are well characterized and executed.

Preinterval stunt choreography in bamboo forest is extraordinary.

Climax stunt is awesome.

Minus

Quary fight in preclimax is little over boarded and escalated.

Few continuity issues in screen play

Second half is slightly slow compared to the first.

Bigil Movie Review :

Vijay and Atlee tries to blow the Bigil with good intentions towards women empowerment but succeeds halfway.

Atlee was not able to deliver a full length sports movie so he restricts himself to a regular commercial first half and second half focuses on the football concept

Pros

Vijay Matured acting and differentiation of his characters Bigil/ Captain Michael and Rayappan.

Rayappan character is good and also vijay enacts a nice stammering voice modulation.

Vijay dancing skills are adorable and he also tried his hand on football dribbling which will be a treat for his fans

Stunt choreography deserves a special mention in Napier Bridge fight and oil man fight.

A R rahmaan songs and BGM elevates the mood of the movie especially in Verithanam and singapenney. Unakaga will be a chart buster for long time.

G K Vishnnu cinematography is good but the visuals could have been better in football matches rather than repeatedly showing the top angle of the stadium.

Special applause 👏 should be given to Atlee for framing the characterization of Anitha and Gayathri

Archana kalpathi has given a rich production values which is a big plus. 

Cons

Hard to digest yogibabu and robot shanker daughter has footballers.

Jackie shroff a routine stylish villain.

Nayanthara doesn't have much role to play rather than looking beautiful. 

Atlee has focused only on Pele scissors cut and corner kicks. Football is much more than that. Repeated same shots makes the football picturization little amateurish.

Routine climax and a routine penalty shootout lengthens the movie and makes the screenplay highly predictable.

Humble request to the film makers please don't focus professors has comedians because they are nation builders. Similarly the federation chairman and referrees are always shown has villains. Please change this routine strategies which will create wrong notion about this people.

Final verdict : Bigil is Commercial Version of Last month release Kennedy club. 

Vijay fans will celebrate Bigil Diwali but don't burst bigili cracker in vijay intro style.

A raw and rustic Political drama from Selva and Surya Combo.

Surya shows different dimensions in acting especially the stage scene in Climax is the epitome of his acting.

Selva scripted the story in such a way that it explains the struggle of a youngster to become a politician forced by circumstances.

Yuvan BGM in toilet and market fight elevates the movie to next level.

Anbae song is best of Yuvans score.

Both the heroines and other characters doesn't have much roles to play.

Final Verdict: Authentic Selva style of political drama which may not go well with all segment of audiences

A slow period drama set in the back drop of pre independance has shades of Hum DilDe Chuke Sanam and Wow Saat Din.

Karan Johar said in a interview he wanted to shelve the project because initially Madhuri role was penned for Sridevi. I doubt whether Sridevi could have done such a Justice to the character which Madhuri did in her 50+ career. Opening song sequence with a backdrop of ramayana is visual Wonder to watch. Preclimatic dance episode by Madhuri is unbelievable.

The movie has Grandeur Making with lavish sets and beautiful Visuals.

Excellent songs and BGM with meaningful lyrics.

Best dialogues which conveys the mood of the film.

Alia lived the role of Roop. She expressed, danced and emoted well

Varun has Zafar portrayed a mature acting.

Aditya, Sanjay and Sonakshi had limited roles to play.

Kunal khemu with negative shades has done well.

Fantastic dance choreography

Length of the movie could have been avoided by editing kriti sanon item song.

The second outing between Magizh and Arun proves to be one of the best thriller.

Magizh writing is the biggest assets of the movie. One of the identical twins commits the crime but how do police prove it who has committed.

The best part is audience know who has committed the crime but still the screenplay in the second half edgy to get the audience hooked to their seats. The movie climax has a beautiful twist which makes it a commendable thriller.

Arun Vijay plays with ease in both characterzation the way both characters are unfolded in the beginning by Magizh is breezy.

Fefsi Vijayan, Yogibabu, Vidhya and Meera Krishnan add strength to their roles.

Nice Visuals

Excellent BGM

Good stunt episode in police station.

Rating 4/5

Final Verdict: Awesome thrill Ride should not be missed.

Ajith and Siva combo strikes the right chord with a regular village drama blended well with father-daughter relationship in line with good parenting.

Siva scripted in such a way that first half focusses on Thookudurai alaparai in rural background with romantic episodes and Mass elements to satisfy Ajith fans

Second half is purely for family audience filled with emotions picturizing beautiful relationship between father and daughter.

Performances

Rajini excels in both characters Kaali and Petta Velan his stylish dialogue delivery gracious dance moves are really awesome.

All the characters like Simran , Trisha Megha, Mahendran have done their roles well.

Vijay sethupathi, Bobby and Nawsuddin are good in their roles but Karthik has not concentrated much on their characters

Anirudh and Peter Hein are backbone of the movie
