Ivan Thandiran movie review :

Ivan Thandiran movie review :

Director R. Kannan is back with a bang after Jeyam Kondaan.

Gautam Karthick will ride high with back to back movies Rangoon and Ivan thandiran.

The story is hot topic of the day. Two engineering drop outs takes on HRD minister using their technical skills. The movie is dedicated to engineering students like VIP.

RJ Balaji has done a good supportive role spilling the beans here and there about the current scenario of engineering students in a comical and educative way.

The though the story line is not new, recently we have scene movies like Kanithan and Yeidhavan speaking on the same lines. The treatment of screen play is fresh.

Heroine Shraddha role is limited but she has done it with perfection

Plus :

Only two songs
Racy and crisp screenplay.
Dop is good.

Beautiful climax

Minus :

Technical story telling may not work in C Center audience.

Rating 3/5

Final verdict : Gautam Karthick is on a roll.

DJ MOVIE REVIEW

DJ MOVIE REVIEW :

Dil Raju 25th Film in the banner of Sri Venteswara Creations, Harish Shankar Directorial, DSP Musical with Stylish star Allu Arjun with Pooja Hegde in the lead.

Does the movie fulfill the hype??

Let's see..........

Shankar took movie gentlemen with Arjun in backdrop of Agragaram, the hero looting black money and doing justice to education.

Harish Shankar inspired by the movie , used Allu Arjun in backdrop of Agragaram to do justice to the public by encountering the goons.

Shankar - - - - - - Arjun
HARISH Shankar - - - - - - Allu Arjun.

Plus :

Allu Arjun screen presence, his dialogue delivery, dance moves, action episodes, Aparichitudu style of body language in pre climax are awesome.

Pooja Hegde does a fashion show rather than acting but her dance moves are really laudable.

DSP musical is peppy and seeti maar steals the show.

Rich production values by Dil Raju, Nice DOP but editing should have been much better. The length should have been cut short by minimum 10 minutes.

Minus :

Less dose of comedy. Vennela Kishore not at his best.

Harish Shankar tried to present usual story in a stylish screenplay which is predictable.

Climax could have been much better instead making terrific villain to a foolish person with a funny climax.

Rating 2.75/5

Final verdict : Allu Arjun on Song one more blockbuster on the go.

AAA MOVIE REVIEW :

AAA MOVIE REVIEW :

This is STR in combo with Adhik Ravichander and not with Gautam Menon, so audience should go to the theater with such a mind set.

First half.

STR as Madurey Michael steals the show with mass intro, dance and fight in first half. Shreya doesn't have much role to play. Comedy with YG. Mahendra is horrible. Magath and VTV Ganesh are okay but doesn't suit their characters to the fullest.

Second half.

STR transforms from Madurey Michael to Ashwin Thatha. The sadest part is the make up for the character is pathetic. The second part runs with trendy old man trying to woo Tamanna. What happens next follows the crux of the story for the first part of AAA. Trend song picturization and choreography is awesome.

The first part ends with a lead by introducing the third character Thikku siva.

So Part 2 is the happenings between Ashwin Thatha Vs Thikku Siva.

Part 2 : Story Predictions

1. Dubai Don episode in Baasha style.
2. Ashwin thatha will  make up like Thikku Siva and try to woo Tamanna
3. Kasturi will not be able to catch Ashwin thatha because of lack of evidence.
4. Shreya will join Madurey Michael (A) Ashwin thatha. Thikku siva will marry Tamanna and the movie will have a smooth ending.

Mottai Rajendran comedy with sarala works in parts.

The main hero of the Movie is Yuvan Shankar Raja excellent music and tremendous BGM.

Rating 2.25/5

Final verdict : Do watch it if you are STR fan.

Vanamagan movie review

Vanamagan movie review :

If you watch the trailer before going to the movie then the audience will have clear picture about the storyline of the movie.

The tribal characterization of Jayam Ravi is a blend of MGR from Adimai Penn, Sivaji from Thangamalai Ragasiyam and Vikram from Pithamagan.

Big plus of the movie is cinematography by Tirru. He makes the audience glued to the seats picturization of songs and exotic locales of the forest.

Stunt choreography is awesome especially in Tarzan style of tree climbing.

Though the movie has a hero centric title, it is the debutant heroine sayesha who carries the movie equally on her shoulders and making the movie a heroine centric too.

So far I haven't seen a heroine getting a such a beautiful opening song like Damn Damn. Prabhudeva choreography is mind blowing. Sayesha making the song too hot with sizzling steps and floor movements. I am witnessing for the first time a heroine doing a floor movement equal to Prabhudeva.

Jayam Ravi is too good in the Tarzan characterization and his dance steps in azhagamma song is really cute. Pithamagan style of mannerisms should be avoided.

Harris 50th film musical is good and the tribal BGM is fantastic.

Prakash Raj, Varun and Thambi Ramaiah roles were pivotal.

Minus : The story is highly predictable and looking like watching Kadamban Part 2

Comedy is big let down

Anthony cuts could have been much better to have a racy screen play.

Director A. L. Vijay tries to give a good movie on nature's background but falls flat in predictable screenplay.

Rating 2.5 /5

Final verdict : Watch it for Sayesha performance and beautiful cinematography.

Rangoon movie review :

Rangoon movie review :

A perfect story of a refugee from Myanmar entangled in a smuggling crime with a perfect blend of action and suspense making it a good crime thriller.

Once again production house of ARM has given us good movie.

Gautam Karthick has played a best role of his career. First half of the movie is racy thriller compared to second half. The second half is little slow and looks predictable at times.

Vishal chandrasekar music is good. Excellent cinematography capturing beauty of Rangoon.

Applause to the director Raj Kumar Periyasamy for giving us good crime thriller.

Rating 3.5/5

Final verdict : Rangoon thrills.
