At the end of 2016 we get a surprise package from 21yr old youngster Karthick Naren. It was a brilliantly made thriller.  As everyone calls edge of the seat /nail biting thriller, it is not so it is purely a thriller which keeps you guessing till the end.

Remo movie review : Romantic entertainer in Siva style.

The movie was rumored to be a remake of 1982 Hollywood flick Tootsie. But I think only the core concept of tootsie is taken and rest of the screenplay is webbed by Bakkiaraj Kannan in Kollywood style.

Big plus : SK & only Siva Karthikeyan

Hats off to the guts of siva karthikeyan for acting as a nurse in the 10th movie itself.

He has done lot of hard work for transforming himself as a lady. The makeup man and costume designer should be applauded for that beautiful transformation. He comes in 4-5 lady different costumes and all suits him perfectly.

Big Minus : Age old story and highly predictable screenplay and routine climax.

Big positives : Dialogues are very cute and apt for a love story keeping in track & trend targeting today's youth.

Excellent dance movements by siva in Tamil selvi song.

Big Negative : Runtime should be really cut off by 15 mts in second half which drags the movie a lot.

It is the biopic of a living legend so initially I'm not interested in reviewing the flick.

If you want to experience a thunderous stadium effect inside the theater, don't miss this flick. It is the first time I have experienced such a wonderful celebration inside the cinema hall for a real life hero rather than reel life hero.

It is the craziness of audience over the Super legend Dhoni.

Coming to the movie, Neeraj Pandey is famous for making the real life movies. But this film is well made but not brilliantly made. There are lots of loose and dull moments but it is the audience who keeps the environment always in celebration mood.

Plus: Sushant Singh Rajput brings you Dhoni live on the screen.

Minus: lengthy screenplay.

It is the emotional court drama fully shouldered by super actor, Amitabh and Taapsee.

The movie is very bold and definitely opens the vision of young men and others how a woman should be visualized.

The message is all the girls who are social with their male friends /dressed in western culture /even drink means they shouldn't be taken for granted that they give liberty for everything.

Amitabh bachan deserves a big salute  for rendering the character of a lawyer with different emotional voice modulation.

Taapsee and other two girls lived their character throughout the movie.

Big plus : well written dialogues. The dialogue were bachan gives concluding remarks with a meaning of the two letter word " no", how powerful it is. The way he gives explanation to the word no stating that if even a Sex worker or wife says no, it is the men who should respect their feelings and stay away, which summarizes whole concept of the film.

Big minus : Slow paced screenplay like the character of bachan.

First all of you don't get faked by the negative reviews. It is the movie for the class and families and not for the masses.

The producer has done a wrong promo creating much hype with the mass audience which led to their disappointment and the result is negative reviews, which is back firing on the producer.

Ranjith should be appreciated for making such a class movie with super star. The movie has a Hollywood way of story telling which didn't go well with the mass audience.

I'm speechless with the screen presence shown by our super star in each and every frame.

Attakathi Dinesh equally scores with his character.

Santhosh Narayan is the big asset to this movie. Dop is good in Malaysia episode.

Special applause to the costume designer and the make up man.

Radhika Apte is apt and Dhanshika is hot.

The second half falling flat after betrothal between simbu and Nayantara. The movie switching gear to the regular chat mode between the two lovers, break up and expected climax.

Simbu is cute and handsome than Nayantara.
Soori one liners similar to early days of santhanam one liners evokes laughter by his timing.

Kuralarasan makes a decent musical debut.

Please don't compare this movie with gabbar singh 2 and Sarainodu they are real commercial popcorn (flop busters).

G.V.Prakash and sridivya put up a fair show. Suspense is maintained but predictable. This movie also ends with the social message don't sell education.

A  class mate killed in Recess (break) time in class using Pencil as the weapon. G.V.Prakash and sridivya  takes steps to investigate the murder and identifies killer within the next period.

Plot: A tale of twin brothers one plays the agonist and other being the antagonist.

It is surya show all the way. Everyone says surya has done triple roles but no one noticed he has done 4 characters. Scientist Sethuraman, Young age energetic Villian Athreya, Paralyzed old aged Athreya and Youthful Subramani. He has differentiated all the four characters with ease.

2. Brilliant Screenplay
3. Rich production values
4. Excellent cinematography

Minus:

1. Lengthy movie
2. Unwanted song placements
3. Over dose of surya - Samantha romance.

If you compare this movie with 1 yr back released time travel movie Indru Netru Naalai by Vishnu Vishal is far better than 24.

Big plus is the screenplay where the director Vikram Kumar scores by keeping twists and turns in the flow of narration. The Director has kept connectivity to each and every scene. For example the acid spillage by which the Villian is affected both the times.

The scene were surya freezes time for first time and plays with the rain dew drops shows the extraordinary creative thinking of the director and mind blowing CG & VFX Works.

At the same time the director fails in a scene were last ball of the cricket match is to be bold that time still the audience are entering the stadium with tickets.

Interval block shows the sheer brilliance of the antagonist character.

Opening episode is like a Hollywood flick.

Nithya menon & Samantha have done there roles neatly. Saranya ponnvannan as usual scores in the step mother character.

Sathyan comedy is good in bits and pieces.

A.R.Rahman music is good but not the best.

Naan Un azhaginilae song was picturized in beautiful exotic locations.

The Climax could have been much more better.

Final verdict : One of the best time travel movies with a brilliant screenplay worth watching.

It is the adaptation of the French Film Intouchables (2011). The movie is not the exact remake they have added lot of Indian elements in the movie. Compare to the original the movie is little lengthier.

Akkineni Nagarjuna has come out with a brilliant performance after Manam. Actor Karthi is always good in these type of roles, it is a tailor made role for him. Rather than the characters the story is the king of the movie. The story emotes all types of emotions in life. Prakash raj, Tamanna, Kalpana, Anushka, Shreya all have done their decent performances in their supportive roles.


Storyline: The life Journey of a Wheel Chaired Billionaire & his care taker.


Nice music, Good BGM, Excellent DOP especially in the Paris episode.

Final Verdict: A movie with less commercial elements. So have a family weekend.
