Bajirao mastani :A epic love story

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's best creation after Devdas and Black.

Each and every frame speaks.  These types of visual extravaganza are rare in Indian cinema. Likely we are witnessing second visual extravaganza in the same year after Bahubali.

Though it is Ranveer and Deepika, Priyanka also portrayed her role beautifully.

Still you are not convinced watch it only for the dialogues they are best in its class. They are sharper and faster than Bajirao's Talvar.

A Fair Remake of the original French film sleepless night.

It's almost seen by seen remake of the original with Kamal's finishing touch in the climax.

Plot : Narcotics control officer son is kidnapped and kept hostage in demand to return the seized cocaine.

A Hollywood style thriller in slow pace.

Action choreography is really good. Costume design by Gautami gives a good feel to all the characters.

Kamal expresses once again a master piece acting.

Trisha, kishore, sampath, prakash Raj, yuvi seshu and jegan enacted their given roles to their best.

Bgm by Ghibran could have been much more better.

Allu Arjun and Rana should be appreciated for their nice gesture in playing small roles in a women centric movie.

Director Gunasekar had a series of flops before this, but he proved his calibre in this movie.

Jazbaa : A Korean thriller in Indian style

It's a authentic remake of the south Korean movie seven days.

Bollywood should be appreciated for giving equal importance to women centric films.

Plot : A lawyer Anurada Verma who has passion towards her profession is tested when her daughter is kidnapped by a stranger. The demand to save her daughter is she has to set free a convict from death sentence in which he was framed for rape and murder. She has only 4 days to win the case. What happens next??. A thriller in its unique style.

Aishwarya Rai has done justice to her role

Irfan, shabana Azmi, sara  have done their roles well.

It's the cinematographer who steals the show throughout. What a amazing view of marine drive!!

Director has done a scene by scene remake of Korean film, but I don't know why he claims written and directed.

Even most of the dialogues are translation of the Korean movie.

Final verdict : A Hollywood style thriller.

Jazbaa a urdu word which means passion.

If you passion for thriller movies please do watch it.

PULI DOESN'T ROAR

Puli movie review : A chandamama fairy tale story with a amateurish graphical fantasy entertainer.

Plot : sruthi the wife of Vijay will be kidnapped by the demon rulers. Vijay goes to vedalakottai to rescue his wife with the help of lilliputs where he meets the hansika the Princess of the kingdom, Sri Devi the demon ruler and the antagonist kicha sudeep.

Screenplay is with ups and downs.
Except Sri Devi no character is up to the expectation including Vijay.

Graphics are very amateuristic.

Chimudevan previous outings were much better.

Bgm from DSP is the saviour of the movie.
Photography and art choreography is excellent

Final verdict : Watch if you have lot of time

Kutram kadithal movie review

After Kaaka muttai it's Kutram kadithal, the movie which brings in a great social message.

Plot : A teacher beats a 5th class student for kissing his girl classmate on her birthday unknowingly. The boy faints with bleeding in the nose. What next to be watched in silver screen.

Screenplay is crisp and unique in its own way of narration. It drags a little in the second half.

Director Bramma should be applauded for treating the subject in 3 angles. One from the side of the School and teachers, second from the side of the parents and finally the media angle which is not true all times and commercial in many aspects.

The way a teacher handles female reproductive system in a biology class in the opening scene brings due respect to the teacher in the society. It is the scene which symbolises the role of a ideal teacher who can even teach sex in a scientific manner.

Final verdict: Top class movie don't miss out.

Many reviews speak on interval twist but it is pretty flat and easily guessable one.

Much more is expected from the paandiyanadu combo.

In paandiyanadu he fights for the death of his honest brother where as here it is just the reverse he fights against his own antagonist brother.

A awesome Masterstroke thrill ride from Raja & Ravi.

Best of a class thriller in Indian cinema.

Plot : Two intelligent minds compete to win over each others intelligence forms the crux of the story.

Screenplay : Racy first half and super racy second half. Director Raja should be appreciated for sculpturing the screenplay for 4 yrs.

Arvind swami has a come back after super flop Kadal. A stylish, intelligent antagonist. He steals the show throughout the movie and he touches our hearts in the climax.

Jayam ravi can proudly say this is his best original performance till date in his career.

Nayanthara has decent and equivalent role to play.

All supporting actors played their roles to their best.

Hip hop tamizha rocks in his Bgm score throughout.

The dialogues must be well appreciated.

The scene where Ravi proposes his is love awesome.

The movie has shades of kaaka kaaka, Thupaki & Nayagan which could have been avoided.

Beautiful Cinematography

Crispy but racy editing

The interval block opposite of Thupaki.
The climax has shades of Nayagan.
If you are good movie lover you can predict the twists in second half.

I stopped writing reviews after Bahubali nearly 50 days though I watched a dozen movies nothing deserve the review. But this movie kindled my mind to restart my reviewing activity.

Final verdict : After a long time I am longing to watch this movie second time.

Bahubali- The Beginning - Extraordinary Visual Wonder

#‎Bahubali‬ The Beginning Part 1 Review : 

It's a unique epic story told in Rajamouli style.
The movie is definitely a pride to telugu industry and Indian cinema. The Cinematography is a visual extravaganza.
The cg works are at par with Hollywood standards.

Plot: The hero shivudu (Prabhas) is brought up tribal lady Rohini after he is left over in the river by Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan). He grews up with skills of rock climbing. At one day he climbs a rock above the water falls and finds Tamanna who is on a mission to save Devasena (Anushka) from BhallaDeva (Rana) in Mahimathi Dynasty. Will prabhas help Tamanna and what connection he has with the Dynasty is to explored by the audience on the 70mm screen.

CAST: Rajamouli proved once again he is the best in artists selection.
Prabhas as shivudu and Bahubali is awesome. He plays the perfect role of warrior his physique justifies his character.
Rana has BhallaDeva is a perfect antagonist. Tamanna has decent role to play. Ramya krishnan as Sivagami and sathyaraj as Katapa lived their life best roles. Nasser and the kalekeya king played good supporting characters. Anushka has Devasena doesn't have much role to play in the first part. 

Plus :
Pre interval ice storm chase sequence.
Last 30 mts of Warfield.
Both the sequences are never seen before in Indian celluloid.
Bgm by Keeravani.
Kalekeya language created by Madan Karky sounds real.

Minus:
Lazy first half which picks up pace near the interval.
Abrupt ending to the movie.

Story of Bahubali The conclusion Part 2 (My assumptions). 

After the kalekeya battle Sivagami crowns Bahubali has king of Mahimathi and BhallaDeva has army chief. Both fall in love with Devasena a beautiful warrior. Devasena marries Bahubali and gives birth to shivudu. Things take turns here were Bahubali is killed cunningly and Devasena has been sentenced in jail by BhallaDeva utilising Katapa were the movie (Part 1) abruptly ended. Sivagami after the death of Bahubali runs out of the kingdom to save the child of Bahubali were she gets killed leaving the child in river. Who was born and brought up as shivudu. Since shivudu has saved his mother Devasena in the first part now it is his turn to take revenge on BhallaDeva for killing his father, capture the throne and save the people of Mahimathi, release Katapa from his slavery and the Finally marry Avantika (Tamanna)

Jurassic World:

The park opens again in theatres after 22 yrs. It is a direct sequel to part 1 Jurassic Park.

Story: The park has a unique feature of having variety of dinosaurs, some are herbivores and some are carnivores. The people are thrilled to see this dinosaurs and the dinosaur shows. Two kids Zack and Grey go to the theme park on a holiday where there aunt is the incharge. The owner of the theme park is interested in producing a monster dinosaur which should is a hybrid of many. One day the monster dinosaur escapes from the cage and what happens next forms the story.

The hero has a dinosaur trainer tries to save the park and the  kids will he succeed in his mission is to watched in big screens.

The graphics sequences and visual effects, cinematography, background score makes you sit for 2 hrs. 3D Effects are minimal.

Final Verdict: Strictly for kids

Santhanam has produced this in his own banner hand made films and taken the solo responsibility as the hero. Did he fulfil???

The movie is full time light hearted comedy entertainer.

Story: As per Astrology santhanam has to get married in 3 months otherwise it will happen only after  4yrs. So the parents are in search of the bride. But santhanam believes strongly in love marriage rather than arranged. He hunts for many girls finally falls in love with Asana Zaveri. During the mean time his maternal uncle fixes his marriage and engages him with a military officer's daughter Akila. Santhanam life is sandwiched between the two heroines. Twist in tale happens in the climax and to all of our surprise he marries a special girl. Watch it in theatres to know the surprise.

Thambi Ramiah has maternal uncle is awesome in his comedy timings. VTV Ganesh also played his comic role to some extent. Santhanam is at his best in his one liners and punch dialogues.

The two heroines has done their roles well. Music is mediocre.

Watch it for santhanam and Thambi Ramiah Combo.

It's a well hatched egg.

Big round of applause and standing ovation to Dhanush & vetri maaran for producing this wonderful movie. 
We should appreciate the director manikandan for giving us a crispy 1.50 mts movie
The movie is totally out of the commercial slot but it engages you through out.
First half is crisp and second half is racy entertainer.

The two little kids are expressive Devil's.
Aishwarya played a good supporting role as mother.
Simbu showed his nice gesture by acting in a cute little cameo.

Each and every supporting characters are fine tuned.

Music  by G. V. Prakash is mesmerising

The scene where the granny makes a pizza using dosa batter was awesome.

The climax were the kids feel granny's dosa is better than pizza is where the director stands.

Final verdict : It's a well hatched egg with a good social message.

Storyline : In a accident Mass gets a supernatural Power to meet the devils. Each Devil approaches him with a wish. One of the devil miss uses him to kill some big shots in the society to take revenge. Whether the intentions of the devil is good or bad ?? whether mass could fulfill the wishes of all the devils forms the crux of the story.

Suriya's Peformances, Excellent cinematography especially in Naan Aval Illai song.

Premig's Comedy works good.

Venkat Prabhu's Screenplay

Yuvan's Music in Poochandi is brilliant.

Choreography in Poochandi song is stylish.

Nayan and Pranitha Played supporting roles as heroines because it is frame by frame suriya in triple roles.

Premigi is given equal role has comedian, he does well but the same body language throughout the movie irritates.

Samuthrakani. Riyaz khan, Jaya Prakash, Parthiban, Karunas, Sriman, all played their roles to perfection as 
supporting cast.

The Venkat prabhu sixer is Just 76 Meters like Rahane's and not 107 meters like Gayle's Storm.

Final Verdict : Comedy Packed Action thriller which lacks a Devil's Blockbuster punch.

36 Vayadinilae - Jo is Back with a bang

Hats off to the director Roshan Andrews for respecting and celebrating womenhood.

Though it is remake of malayalam movie How old are You?. 36 vayathinilae stands out because of Jyothika's extraordinary performances. She has returned with a bang after 8 long years. Previously everyone used to say Mozhi is Jyothika's benchmark Movie but now she has set a new benchmark with 36 vayathinilae.

Nowadays we should appreciate the film industry for leaving a social message in each and every film. This film talks about necessity of organic farming and ill effects of foods that we are consuming everyday in filtered with pesticides.

Santhosh narayanan leaves his mark throughout the movie with his excellent music. The title track Vaadi Rasathi is already a huge hit.

The movie is crisp and short with a run time of 1 hr & 56 mins.

The movie has the shades of English -Vinglish which could have been avoided.

Final Verdict: Watch it for Jyothika and celebrate women hood this weekend.

Jananathan is back with a unusual story after peranmai.

Plot : A unique story line which revolves around a death sentence convict Arya, hangman Vijay Sethupathi and jail incharge shaam.

The movie speaks lot of communism.

The trio has done their role with brilliant performances.

Karthika plays the role of human bomb and later tries to save Arya from jail.

The movie also expresses the rights of imprisoned victims in jail.

The first half of the movie slowly takes you in to the mood of the movie.

The second half is really engaging with racy screenplay.

Music is below par. If the movie is without songs it would have been much better.

Movie leaves you with a social message stating India is used a dumb yard for
e-waste.

Vijay Anthony Strikes Hattrick with this movie. His earlier two movies were Crime Thriller and but this one is a out and out comedy entertainer.

Plot:

Cat & Mouse game between the Merit Passed lawyer ( Sushma Raj) and Attempt Passed Lawyer ( Vijay Anthony) in sharing the office space.

Vijay Anthony has proved once again that he is good in selection of stories. He has acted well but still he has to improve his dialogue delivery and dancing skills to estabilsih himself has a full fledged actor. The debutant actress Sushma raj is good in her acting skills  but she has to improve her facial expressions in the romantic Sequences.

Pasupathy and M.S.Baskar has done excellent roles and big support to the movie.

Manobala presence and the comedy in mall scenes will make everyone laugh loud.

The Comedy Sequence in the Climax copy/Coffee by Kaali is extraordinary.

Urvasi scores big though she comes only in few scenes.

VAI RAJA VAI MOVIE REVIEW : It's Aishwarya Dhanush 2 nd venture has director. It is completely a contrast movie compared to her first movie 3.

The movie travels with a story line showcasing different modes of gambling with special talent hidden in the hero.

Gautam karthick shows a matured performance. Heroine priya Anand is pretty. There is surprise package from taapsee her performance is sharp as a knife.

Yuvan strikes gold with the opening song. Pachai vana povei was a soothing melody. But the picturisation of the song resembles Pachai nerame from alaipayuthe.

The narration of the movie is little slow in the opening but catches the rhythm in the interval.
Aishwarya Dhanush being a women director should keep scenes which brings respect towards women rather than showing them drunkard by which she proves she is from the school of selvaraghavan.

Comedy from vivek and sathesh is convincing

The audience goes crazy with the little cameo by Dhanush. villain Daniel Balaji receives excellent audience response in his intro scene.

Uttama villain : I am not reviewing this movie. It's Kamal's classic master stroke after Anbe Sivam.

My feelings after watching this film.

It is a out and out emotional film and not a usual Masaaala Entertainer.

Kamal has blended Real and reel life stories in the movie fantastically.

Kamal has proved once again he is the Indian acting legend.

Ghibran has given his extra ordinary music especially the Bgm is awesome. His little cameo in the movie is also good.

Pooja Kumar excelled in her dance performance in the kadhalal song.

Ramesh arvind has a director is really blessed to direct three legends of indian industry balachander, Viswanath and Kamal.

Nasser, Andrea, Basker, urvasi, Jaya ram Parvathy has done there roles to their best.

Slowness of the movie is the micro level flaw.

Audience are giving standing ovation to the climax theeyam dance performance.

Final Verdict: You will be awestruck after watching this movie because Kamal is not at it's best he is at his life time best.
